KORA
A PROJECT DONE UNDER THE GUIDENCE OF GUEST FACULTY SHANTANU DAS OF MAKU TEXTILES.
A WEEK PRIOR TO THE WORKSHOP 3 BOARDS WERE SENT TO THE CLASS BY SHANTANU DAS AND WE WERE ASSIGNED TO WORK ON ONE OF THE BOARDS. MY GROUP AND I WERE TO WORK ON THE ‘KORA’ BOARD.
KORA (MEANING PLAIN IN HINDI) WAS A PROJECT TO PROMOTE MUSLIN, A FABRIC MAINLY USED TO CREAT TESTFITS, AND SHOW IT UNDER A NEW LIGHT.
THE GROUP WAS RESPONCIBLE FOR DECIDING THE DIRECTION OF THE GARMENTS AND THE CLIENT PROFILING. THE THEME FOR THE COLLECTION WAS ‘A QUITE SUNDAY BRUNCH’ A DAY OF RELAXATION AND UNWINDING THE GARMENTS REFLECT THIS IN THEIR EASY COMFOTABLE YET TRENDY SILLOUETTS.
